Avalon Camps Trustees are also volunteers and they lead and manage the charity, making decisions that impact the charity’s future to ensure we can continue to provide experiences that our children will never forget.
Meet our Trustees

George Osborne
Trustee
George has been a passionate supporter of Avalon Camps since 1989. He spent most of his working life in the Construction Industry.
In 2017 he was instrumental in Avalon Camps becoming a charity. George has used his commercial expertise to ensure Avalon Camps will continue on a sound financial footing for many years.

Sue Osborne
Trustee
Susan has been involved with Avalon Camps for many years. She organises camp volunteers, ensuring Health & Safety compliance and helping with day to day activities. Susan has an honours degree in Social Administration from Loughborough University.

Nigel Harper
Trustee
Avalon’s camp manager for many years, Nigel runs the camp for a week each year whilst his wife Lois acts as catering manager for the camp. For the other 51 weeks of the year Nigel runs his own car retail outlet.

Tim Weigold
Trustee
Tim is a former Avalon Camps – Young Leader and was educated at Kings of Wessex Academy Cheddar. He graduated with a BSc in Paramedic Science from the University of the West of England. Tim is as a frontline Paramedic for the NHS in central Bristol. He has frequently undertaken additional learning around medicine. Using this additional training he aims to pursue a role as an advanced Paramedic.

Lewis Coulson
Trustee
Lewis owns a successful local construction company. He was educated at Hugh Sexeys & Kings of Wessex Schools, where his children are following in his footsteps. He calls himself a local lad and loves Mark village life and the people. It gives him great pleasure to be able to give something back to his community and there is no better way than supporting Avalon Camps and the children who deserve it.
